Dapa and Dama Visit!

Brian's folks came out to visit for a week.  Previously, Logan hasn't had a name for them.  This trip he was saying Grandpa and Grandma.  To my ear, it sounded more like Dah-pa and Dah-ma.  It was really cute.  Logan is talking more and more and he loves telling stories.  It goes something like this: "me dapa choo choo fun".  Translation: "Grandpa and I rode the train.  It was fun!"

Brian and I hardly saw our visitors at all.  We were working during the week and over the weekend, we took Eden to Utah for some climbing without the kiddo!  It is easy for us to get caught up in daily duties and not connect regularly.  So, a weekend away doing something we love to share is such a treat and so important for us.  We had a wonderful weekend in Utah (no pics, but you can imagine what it looked like from previous trips - sunny, blue skies, sandstone towers, happy people, happy dog, etc).  We climbed two towers that were new to us.  Neither of us were expecting the routes to be very good but we were pleasantly surprised!  They were great!!  And, no one else in sight.  Perfecto!

Logan had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa. Lots of laughing, playing and adventure.  They went to Georgetown and rode the Georgetown Loop Railroad, had many trips to parks in Nederland and Boulder and down to Pearl Street.

We continue to be grateful for such a wonderful family.  We are thrilled that all of our parents are so involved with Logan despite the thousands of miles between our homes.  Now that I am a parent, I can better appreciate all that my parents and grandparents did for me.  I am thrilled that, together, we can provide so much for Logan.  He deserves it.  He's a special one!!
