Party Time!

Logan turns one on the 20th.  Fun to think that a year ago I was packing a bag to take to the hospital, anticipating what life would be like with our little person.  There is no way to know or to prepare.  Just wake up each morning with excitement to see what the day brings.  It usually brings something!

We invited friends and family over to help us celebrate Logan's birthday.  We had grand plans of a nice afternoon/evening on the deck.  Sun, beers, bbq, birthday cake, maybe a campfire.  Then it began to rain which turned to snow.  The campfire turned into a fire in the fireplace and the living room came alive with our friends.

"Bunny Cake" - a, gulp, healthy variation of carrot
For reasons unknown to me, I decided to make a "healthy" cake.  It wasn't too bad.  Thankfully, Laurie brought some cupcakes which saved the day as far as desserts go.  The train cake topper was originally on Brian's uncle's birthday cake.  Thanks for saving it, Betsy!  It is super cute and made decorating a snap.

Logan got his first piece of OSU Buckeye...well...anything.  It is a cute onesie.  Thanks Aunt Mary and Uncle Seth!
The morning after...party hangover!
We had a blast.  I love hosting people for dinners and get togethers.  Got to see some faces we hadn't seen in a while, eat some good food and have some good laughs.

These are some cute shots from earlier this month...
