Sunflower Farm

Yesterday, Logan and I went to Sunflower Farm with our friends, Laurie and Jayden.  It is a neat place out in Longmont.  They have tons of stuff to do there.  You can feed animals, take a pony ride, go on a horse drawn carriage ride, play in sandboxes, climb in tree forts and bridges, a zip line and more!  Logan and I spent some time feeding the goats with the corn kernals.  He was also really interested in the chickens.  He laughed every time the rooster gave a 'cockadoodledoo'.  It was pretty cute.

When Logan sees something that is funny or kind of new or exciting he makes this face (raises his eyebrows and makes an 'oooh' shape with his lips.  I think there were some turkeys chasing a peacock or some such hallibaloo when I took this next pic:

I look forward to going back there with Logan.  I think he will continue to enjoy it.  They also do summer day camps where kids learn about agricultural things like planting, harvesting, caring for animals, etc.  Could be a great experience where the kids become more invested in the earth as well as what they eat (if they know where it comes from).
