Big Moose Lake

We made our annual trek to Big Moose Lake in the Adirondacks in July.  It is a lot of travel - 2 plane rides and then a 3 hour drive.  It is so nice up there, though!  Worth the effort, for sure.  Brian's family has been going there for 30 years - well, maybe more like 40.  We're getting to know the neighbors and it feels like the whole place is awaiting Logan's arrival.  I suspect Grandma and Grandpa are doing some bragging while we're not there.

Anyway, the big news this year was the addition!  It is not complete, but certainly done enough for us to stay in it.  We had our own space and even our own bathroom.  There is a great view of the lake from the new space.  You just sit up in bed and voila, there it is.  Awesome!!  Like a dingbat, I didn't take any photos.

The weather was rainy for a few days that we were there.  They really needed it; the lake was so low!  We got out in the boat regardless for some water skiing.  I, of course, went running.  We read books and relaxed.  Very nice.

Shortly before he fell asleep at the wheel
Logan was driving the boat around the middle of the lake.  We were all having fun.  Looking at the remodels of some camps and other changes since we there last year.  With his PFD holding his head up and his sunglasses on, it was hard to tell what he was experiencing.  Out of the corner of my eye, I saw his head nod like someone falling asleep at the wheel.  Sure enough, he started to fall forward as he fell asleep.  Grandpa scooped him up and they snuggled the rest of the way home.  It was pretty funny.
